Connie C. Romero

Connie C. Romero, born December 8, 1924 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 94. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Connie is survived by her three children, Wayne Romero and daughter-in-law Roxanne Horning of Bethesda, Md., Kenneth Romero of Washington D.C., and daughter and loving care-giver, Shirley Snell of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Alexandra Romero of Washington D.C., Erich Romero of Arlington, Va., and Lauren Jensen and husband Max Jensen of Albuquerque, and her pride and joy, her great granddaughter Sophie Quinn Jensen.

She was an avid follower of women’s clothing trends and was fashionably dressed for every occasion. She was noted for her excellent and creative cooking skills as well as a huge weakness for all things chocolate. She was a great dancer and went dancing every chance she got. Connie retired from the Department of Psychiatry of the University of New Mexico.

She adored her family. She was loved and she will be greatly missed.

Connie's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at St. Charles de Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE and will begin with a Rosary at 9:20 a.m. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a reception at the church hall to follow. Interment will be announced at a later date.
