Frank Griego, 63, passed away suddenly on the evening of Saturday, November 9, 2019.
Frank was the eldest son born to Serafin and Margret (Serda) Griego. He was born, raised, and lived his entire life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Frank grew up on South 2nd Street with his siblings, and was surrounded by family and friends. He later graduated from Albuquerque High School, “the real one,” he would often remind those close to him.
Frank was a simple and proud man. He kept his family and his lifelong friends near and dear to his heart. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend, and husband.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Serafin Griego on June 20, 1984, mother Margarita “Maggie” on January 22, 2011, and wife Debra (Qualls) Griego on January 18, 2013.
He is survived by his sons; Dominick Griego (wife Cecilia), Serafin (wife Amanda), Leo Qualls, and his daughter Amanda Griego. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Catarina, Zerriah, Diego, Serafin, Sandia, Sean, Trinity, brother Serafin Griego, sisters; Anna Maria Griego and Margarita (Griego) Stasiewicz.
Frank's Life Celebration with a Visitation on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church located at 820 Broadway Blvd SE, 87102. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. A Reception will be held immediately following the Mass in the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall. Interment will take place at a later date.
