Gloria worked as a waitress for Mountain View Officer’s Club for 42 years, which she dearly loved. Her words of wisdom; if you feel good, work, if you feel bad, work and you’ll soon forget why you felt bad. After 42 years of service she received a service pin to which she replied; “This pin and $3.00 will buy me a beer”. Friends who knew her described her as a jokester who liked to make people happy. She loved being around family and friends, laughing, teasing and having a great time. In the last few years of her life, after winning her battle with breast cancer, and losing most of her sight, she still enjoyed meeting new people at her favorite spot, the casino. If not at the casino, Gloria could always be found at home, sitting in her favorite seat watching old game shows and of course her Dallas Cowboys. Her door was always open to family and friends to sit and enjoy a beer, food and good conversation.
Gloria will be dearly missed by her family, friends and those who were lucky to have met her. May she rest in peace in the Kingdom of Heaven.
