December 11th brought us much sadness, our beloved Mom, Mother-In-Law, Grandma, Sister, and Friend passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. Jeanie was born and raised in"Old Town" where she danced as a young girl and was the Fiesta Queen in 1957. She was a majorette at A.H.S. and graduated in 1959. Later, Jeanie became a bilingual teacher for APS, taught at Old Town School, now known as Reginald Chavez Elementary, until her retirement. Jeanie's greatest "Pride" and "Joy" were her two grandchildren, Frankie and Meghan. Jeanie loved the Dallas Cowboys, "Go Cowboys!!!" She is preceded in Death by her parents Santos and Rose Dominguez, in-laws Gilbert and Mama Toni Martinez, husband Roland, son Bill and granddaughter Ashley. She is survived by her daughter Jacquie and husband Frank McQuerry, son Roland(baby hito) and wife Diana Martinez, her brother Roy and wife Dora Dominguez, sister Jolene Wong, her five grandchildren: Frankie, Meghan, Theresa and Anthony, one adopted grandchild Sara El Gaby, 1 great-granddaughter Adriana, and 4 great-grandsons.
A very special thanks to Danette and her shadow Galina, as well as the Hospice team. Special thanks also to past nurses Milissa, Shirley and Darlene.
When you hear the song, "When You Say Nothing At All" by Keith Whitley, think of Jeanie. "LOVE YOU!!"
