Joshua Garcia Obituary

Joshua Michael Garcia, an Iraq war veteran, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the age of 34, in San Diego, California.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Keelie Garcia; his children Jace and Jett Garcia; his brother, Kyle Garcia; his grandparents, Spencer and Sandy Sielschott and Roy and Genevieve Sarracino; his aunts, Karen Karr, Veronica Maldonado, and Trinnie Martinez; his uncles, Matt Karr, Jeremy Garcia (Joanna Saffron), and Patrick Sarracino; cousins, Madison Stevens (Jimmy), Maya Garcia, Kaitlyn Saffron, Dylan Saffron, Jacqueline Sarracino and his nephews and nieces.

Joshua graduated from Gallup High School in 2003, moved to Albuquerque shortly after, and then settled in San Diego. At the age of 19, Joshua enlisted in the Marines and served four years of active duty. He completed two tours in Iraq as a combat engineer during wartime. As a civilian, he was an expert welder.

His two boys were the light of his life. He enjoyed camping with them, watching them play soccer and baseball, hanging out at the beach and, especially, four-wheeling.

Joshua's life will be celebrated with a Service on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at Reflections Funerals and Life Celebrations located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110.
