Max Tafoya Obituary

Max G. Tafoya, 82, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2020. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fabiola Tafoya; sons: George Tafoya(wife, Tina deceased), and Luis Tafoya; daughter, Cindy Gutierrez (husband, Ricky); four step-grandchildren: Michelle, Angela, Phillip, Maryah, 5 step-great-grandchildren: Majestik, Lexine, Josiah, Darius and Abrianna; step-great-great-grandchild: Reyes; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He lived his whole life in Alameda and loved his family dearly.  He was a welder and loved riding horses.  He worked for the City of Albuquerque as a welder and retired after 25 years.

Max's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 8:00 am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located at 9502 4th St NW, 87114. Mass will begin at 9:00 am also at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery located at 4300 Alameda Path, 87113.

Pallbearers will be Ricky, Leonard, Jordan, and Noe.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene, Tony, Estevan, and Frankie.
