Miguel Mendoza

Jose Miguel Mendoza, an exemplary husband, father, and friend was welcomed into the arms of our Lord at the age of 60 on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Whether it was work, tennis, or loving his family, there was no doubt that Miguel put his heart and soul into everything he was passionate about. He went from being an Agricultural Engineer in Mexico, to an adventurous fisherman in Alaska, and finally settling in Albuquerque to work as a wiring technician for 19 years at Presbyterian Hospital.

He was a fearless man who overcame barriers like learning to speak English, changing careers, and adopting a new culture in order to provide the best life for his family. There was no job, task, or sport he couldn’t jump right into and learn to do. Regardless of his occupation, his determination always stemmed from his immense love for his family and his desire to give them every opportunity for success.

Miguel’s spirit will continue on in the hearts of his wife of 29 years, Isabel, his three children, Miguel, Priscilla, and Joshua, and his brothers Jesus, Arturo, and Armando.

He joins his mother, Alba Luz Diaz, and his older brother Mario in Heaven. 

We remember him by the stories of his adventures, his radiant smile, and all the joy and laughter he spread. We will remember him by the unique energy harbored inside him and the unrelenting confidence of a righteous man.

Miguel's life will be celebrated with a Service on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3:00pm at Reflection of Life® Chapel located at 2400 Washinton St NW, 87110.
