Pauline Ann Salata, 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend went home to the Lord surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Presbyterian Rust Hospital in Rio Rancho.
She was born on July 12, 1941 in New York City and she was a Rio Rancho resident for over fifty years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Walter Punda, cousin Steve Lowe and her lifelong friend Linda Straw.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael John Salata; 5 children: Debbie and husband Ron Garcia, Michael and wife Katiusha Salata, Wally Salata and Sandy Salata, Cindy and husband Mickey Ormseth, Lenore Kozlowski; 18 grandchildren; Victor and wife Mia Garcia, Monica and husband Charles Ashley, Jocelyn and husband D’Albert Hall, Mickayla, Nikolette, Michael J Salata, Maria, Nicholas and Paulina Salata, Alexandria, Walter, and Georgia Salata, Chelsie, Michael and Amanda Ormseth, Vincent Walthers, Gillie and Josephine Kozlowski; 9 Great-grandchildren: C.J. Justus and Victor Garcia, Kaelynn, Ayva and Charlee Ashley, Almaya, Jaydee and Dwayne Hall, and Lance Walthers. Pauline is also survived by her only sister Margie and husband Charles Magistro and sister-in-law Rose and husband John Chimento, and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 6:45 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, 87124. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Final Viewing will take place on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, 87102.
