Alyssa “Lissy” Nicole Garcia passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Alyssa is preceded in death by her grandfather Manuel Moya, Sr., grandmother Marijon Garcia, uncle Gabriel Moya.

Alyssa is survived by her grandfather Ben Garcia, grandmother Merlinda Gonzalez, father Brian Garcia, Sr. (Angela), mother April Moya (Roman) uncles: Manuel Moya, Jr. (Marissa), Jesse Moya (Lorrey), siblings: Tanisha (Matt), Estevan, Dominic (Alexis), Brian Jr., Divine, Angelo, Ida, Zoe, Symphony, Benjamin, Eli, nieces: Maelynn and Malia.

She is the daughter of Brian Garcia and April Moya. Born in Albuquerque New Mexico June 30, 2006. Alyssa grew up in the Nob Hill part of Albuquerque where she lived with her grandparents Ben and Marijon Garcia who she had a lifelong connection with. She was born Premature at seven months and was described as a beautiful porcelain doll at birth with fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes. 

As a child she was very inquisitive and outgoing. As she grew up she developed a bond with animals of all varieties and had a love for cooking and baking. In her early teens she found a love for horses and spent a lot of time learning to groom and ride. She was a talented artist who loved to draw and paint. She loved to spend time with her grandpa at his property in Haron Lake, NM fishing and camping. She loved to be outdoors in nature. She had many pets that were her babies but the ones that stood out were Panda, Sammy, Boss and Onyx. 

She had plans of graduating High School this spring with hopes of working in civil service for the City of Albuquerque. In recent years she developed a close relationship with her younger siblings watching after them. When her grandmother Marijon passed she became very close to her grandpa Ben, where Alyssa was living when she passed. 

Alyssa was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. When Alyssa left us it created a void and never again can that void be filled.

Alyssa's Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00am at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110.
