Amanda Susan Cheshire

December 20, 1990 — January 26, 2026

Amanda Susan Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Amanda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joseph and Ernestine Potts, maternal grandparents Peter and Evelyn Noack. Amanda and Evelyn shared a long, deep bond that was cherished by both.

Amanda is survived by her loving and devastated husband Cory Cheshire; their beautiful, joyful baby boy Reilly Dean Cheshire; cats/daughters: Lilly Marie, Bella Elizabeth, have been her loyal and loving companions through a number of difficult and trying times, stealing her heart along the way; mother and stepfather, who she proudly called Dad Beth and Mark Foehse, are heart-broken and lost without her; brother Thomas Potts and his family; father Steven Potts, also many loving aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Amanda was born on December 20, 1990, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Eldorado High School in 2009 and earned her BSN at UNM in 2015. Working as an RN in Presbyterian Hospital’s NICU Amanda found her dream job caring for newborns. Health issues caused her to leave that job and join Blue Cross/Blue Shield providing her the ability to work at home while still serving others as a nurse.

Amanda was diagnosed with a severe, life-threatening brain AVM December 2013. She endured several surgeries and procedures and successfully managed the health risk with mild deficiencies. The strength, courage, and perseverance she demonstrated through this battle were absolutely remarkable. Amanda developed skills and talents of a warrior that would be called upon a number of times in her life.

Amanda’s life truly began in August 2019 when she found Cory Cheshire, the love of her life. They married Friday, May 13, 2022, and have been creating a beautiful life together ever since and both were truly “Better Together” as their wedding dance song so perfectly articulated.

Amanda and Cory welcomed their precious, joyful son, Reilly Dean, October 2024. Amanda was an exceptional mother, allowing Reilly to thrive as he was continuously showered with her loving, tender, guiding, and encouraging ways. Amanda truly found her calling as a mother…she excelled and just radiated love and joy. Being a mom was not just part of her life, it was her life’s most important success!

Amanda exemplified what it meant to be loving, caring, thoughtful, and giving throughout her life. She always put others before herself, a true giver in a world that often prioritizes taking. The strength and grace with which she navigated life's adversities inspired those around her, and her legacy of kindness will continue to influence the family for years to come.

Although her life was entirely too short, Amanda has left an indelible mark on many of us. Thanks to her thoughtfulness many of her loved ones have constant reminders of her from her perfectly suited gifts, trinkets and treasures Amanda showered us with!

We are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to lavish Amanda with our love, as she did with us. We cherish and celebrate her life and are shattered that God called her home so soon…but we know He has welcomed her with open arms and has freed her from her pain. We pray that Amanda watches over her family and lovingly guides us as Reilly grows and flourishes!
