Andrew Leandro Mondragon, 31, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Andrew is survived by his two young children: Keanu (4) and Kaia (2), always in his heart; parents Johnny and Wendy Mondragon; sister Amber Mondragon; nephew Armani; niece Aviana; paternal grandparents: Johnny and Frances Mondragon; Godfather and uncle Frankie Mondragon,; wife Daphne; and aunt Georgette Mondragon; maternal grandmother Sharon Thompson and her husband Jermaine; aunt Lorna Johnson, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous heart.
As a young child, Andrew enjoyed watching The Three Stooges and laughing himself silly. He began his soccer career at the age of five and continued playing until he was 16, pouring his energy and heart into the sport. He loved watching and learning from his grandfather Johnny, who taught him how to fish and fix all sorts of things—skills Andrew carried proudly throughout his life. He grew up surrounded by the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, NV, a place that shaped his sense of fun and adventure. As an adult, he could never turn down a good day at the casino, where he found joy in the excitement and the company around him.
Andrew had an infectious smile and a genuine willingness to help anyone in need. His kindness, warmth, and ability to lift others up made a lasting impact on everyone who crossed his path.
Andrew's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 10:00 am at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington NE, 87110. Service will begin at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at 12:30pm at Dirty Bourbon located at 9800 Montgomery Blvd, NE 87111.
