Andrew "Drewski" Trujillo

Andrew “Drewski” Trujillo passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the age of 61. 

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Trujillo. 

Andrew is survived by his mother Charlene Trujillo; sister Karlene Velasquez; brothers: David Trujillo, Craig Trujillo; nieces: Edye Velasquez (Chris Maurer), Amber Cordova, Ashlee Brazier (Toben Brazier); nephew Edward Trujillo; great-nephews: Questin Maurer, Damien Lopez, Reyes Cordova, Alaiz Cordova, Frank Maestas, Lennox Brazier; great-nieces: Santana Whitaker, and Hendrix Brazier.

Andrew was born on August 14, 1965, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He lived a life marked by kindness, optimism, and genuine connection. He was the kind of person who made others feel comfortable right away, not because he tried to impress anyone, but because he was simply himself. He had a gift for conversation and was known as a chatty person who could keep a room engaged with his stories, his humor, and his easygoing nature. He enjoyed talking with people, listening to their experiences, and sharing in the everyday moments that often become the most meaningful memories. 

He was a man who found joy in simple pleasures and approached life with a spirit of appreciation. Andrew enjoyed playing softball and valued the camaraderie that came with being part of a team. Whether on the field or in the stands, he brought energy and enthusiasm to the game. He was also a loyal sports fan and anyone who knew him knew how much he loved the Dallas Cowboys. 

At work, Andrew earned the respect of those around him through his character, dependability, and positive attitude. He was well respected at work not only for what he did, but for how he did it. He carried himself with integrity and treated others with fairness and kindness. He made lifelong friendships through the years, and those relationships stand as a testament to the trust and warmth he extended to the people in his life. He never talked bad about anyone, choosing instead to speak with respect and to focus on the good in others. That rare quality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. 

Andrew’s laughter, his humor, and his generous spirit made him a source of comfort and joy. He had a way of lifting the mood simply by being present, and his memory will continue to do the same for those who loved him. Those who knew Andrew “Drewski” Trujillo will remember his smile, his voice, his humor, and the steady goodness of his character. He leaves behind a lasting example of how to live with generosity, kindness, and a genuine appreciation for people and life itself.

Andrew’s Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 3:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Reception will follow inside Salazar Mortuary’s Event Center.
