Antonia L. Ortiz went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dionicio Ortiz, daughter Rosemary Gergen and son-in-law Neil Gergen.

Antonia is survived by her son Edward (Yvonne); daughters: Norma Ortiz, Bernadette Ortiz (Carla); grandchildren: Christopher Gergen (Rae-Ann), Brandi Daniel (Kevin); great-grandchildren: Kelsey Stryker (Nathaniel), Jacob Gergen, Reese Daniel, Jett Daniel, and Emmie Daniel, and great-great-granddaughter Raelynn Rose Stryker. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was also a special “Toni” to Erica and Mark Holswade.

Antonia was born on September 25, 1932 in Silver City, New Mexico to Manuel and Antonia Lopez. She was lovingly raised by Juan and Margarita Vasquez.

Antonia was affectionately known as Mrs. “O” to those that loved her. Her favorite role in life was being a mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma. She made the best beans, red chile, and loved having people gather in her home to eat.

Antonia's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary that will be recited on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 9:30am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 5310 Claremont Ave NE, 87110. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Antonia will interred with her husband Dionicio at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date in a private ceremony.
