It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Antonia "Toni" Orozco Ewing, who left this world on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 86.

Toni was predeceased by her beloved parents Manuel and Guadalupe Garcia, husband Jim Ewing; brothers and sister-in-law: Manuel and Priscilla Garcia, Delfino Garcia, brother-in-law Robert Smith, sisters and brother-in-law: Pauline and Isidro Salcido, Rena Flores, and beloved son Rudy Raul Orozco.

She is survived by her youngest sister Tomasita Smith of Colorado; children: Germaine Otero and Jerry, Domonic Orozco and Christina, Monica Duran and Orlando, Pasqual Orozco and Judith, Stephanie Abeyta, Michele Ortega and Paul. Her legacy lives on through her 22 grandchildren: Dominic Orozco, Kristin Roybal, Melissa Orozco, Justine Jean Baptiste, Christopher Otero, Nathan Otero, Jude Orozco, Brittany Orozco, Nicholas Orozco, Manuel Duran, Cera Orozco, Santana Orozco, Cheyanne Orozco, Dezi Abeyta, Anthony Abeyta, David Abeyta, Nico Abeyta, Marissa Abeyta, Paul Ortega, Cody Ortega, Zane Ortega, Cale Ortega; 24 cherished great-grandchildren: Rudy, Devon, Mia, Grace, Will, Benji, Gigi, Hunter, Madison, Kennedy, Olivia, Naomi, Javier, Micah, Royal, Audriana, Ava, Izaiah, Aurora, Augustine, Kendrick, Desmond, Zinnia, and a baby boy soon to join our family.

Toni was born on October 23, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM, to Manuel and Guadalupe Garcia. She spent her final moments surrounded by her devoted children in the comfort of her home, a testament to the love and connection she fostered throughout her life.

Toni was a remarkable woman whose life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and creativity. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957, where she was a spirited cheerleader and cherished the camaraderie and joy of her high school years. Her memories of those days remained vivid and cherished, inspiring many in her family to follow in her footsteps.

A skilled hairdresser, Toni dedicated over 30 years to making women feel beautiful and confident. Her talent and confidence in her craft were renowned, and she took particular delight in styling the hair of many Valley High School students for their special occasions like Homecoming and Prom.

Toni was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and a committed student of God’s word. Her participation in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) brought her many cherished friendships and enriched her spiritual life. Her faith was a guiding force, and she shared her love for the Lord with all who knew her.

An accomplished seamstress, Toni had a gift for creating beautiful garments, crafting unique outfits for her daughters and lovingly crocheting baby blankets for her cherished grandchildren. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she was known for her exceptional cooking, nourishing both body and soul.

Toni’s greatest joy and most significant accomplishment were her seven children. She dedicated her life to raising them to be strong, independent, and successful individuals. Her grace, dignity, and beauty were ever-present, and her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on her family.

Toni and Jim Ewing shared 27 beautiful years of marriage, having married on August 4, 1996. Their love story was one of mutual respect and love.

Toni and David A. Orozco shared 37 years of marriage and shared the joy of raising their beautiful children.

Toni Orozco Ewing will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.

Momma, It’s time for you to rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will be together again one day when the Lord calls us home one by one, until then our beloved mother we are so grateful for all you gave and sacrificed for your family. We love you so much. Rest in Eternal peace ..

Toni's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 9:30am at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church located at 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, 87114. Mass will begin at 10:15am. Toni will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, 87109. Reception will follow the graveside back at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Toni's memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, reflecting her spirit of giving and compassion.
