Obituary

Antonio Sanchez, a beacon of joy and laughter, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 69.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ramona Martinez, father Antonio Sanchez, brothers: Arturo Sanchez, and Ramon Sanchez.

Antonio is survived by his beautiful wife Dora Sanchez, children;: Antonio Sanchez, Jr., Joel Sanchez (Lindsey), Mireya Sanchez, Juan Sanchez (Laura), Linda Sanchez, brothers: Manuel Sanchez, Roberto Gonzales, grandchildren: Joel Sanchez, Jr., Jonah Sanchez, Antonia Sanchez, Israel Sanchez, Christopher Acosta, Isaiah Acosta, Matthew Lopez, Esperanza Lopez, Juan Sanchez, Jr., Victoria Sanchez, David Sanchez, James Sanchez.

Born on December 22, 1955, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, Antonio's early years were the foundation of a life characterized by love, humor, and an unwavering commitment to family. 

Antonio's infectious laughter and quick wit were a source of endless entertainment for all who knew him. His ability to craft a joke, coupled with his remarkable sense of humor, made every moment with him a delightful experience. His laughter will echo in the hearts of his loved ones forever. 

A man of diverse interests, Antonio found solace in the meticulous assembly of model cars, a hobby that reflected his patience and attention to detail. His culinary passion was evident in his love for oven-baked fish, a dish he mastered and shared with gusto with his family. Antonio's zest for life extended to simple pleasures, such as his regular visits to Buffet King, where he indulged in a variety of flavors surrounded by friends and family. 

A Broncos fan, Antonio loved cheering on his team with the same enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life. He also enjoyed watching soccer, sharing the thrill of the sport with his children and friends, and celebrating each victory with the same fervor as if it were his own. 

Above all, Antonio was a family man. His unwavering dedication to his wife and children was evident in his role as a provider and protector, ensuring they had everything they needed to succeed in life. He instilled in them the values of love, generosity, and humor, which they will carry forward as his legacy. 

Antonio's love for collecting quarters and eagles was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his appreciation for the small wonders of life. His collections, carefully curated over the years, were a source of pride and joy. 

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Antonio will remember him as a loving, funny, and generous man. His presence was a gift to us all, and his memory will continue to inspire laughter, love, and kindness.

Antonio’s Life Celebration will begin with a Service on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00am at 1st Apostolic Church House of Worship located at 2100 Arno St. NE, 87102. He will be laid to rest following the Service at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107. Reception will follow back at the church.

Pallbearers will be Joel Sanchez, Juan Sanchez, Joel Sanchez, Jr., Jonah Sanchez, Israel Sanchez, and Matthew Lopez.
