April Ann Riley-Torres

April Ann Riley-Torres passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026.

She is survived by mama Lisa, mama Monique, stepsisters: Nicole, Cindy (Joe), nephew Shane, aunt Jeanine, cousin Andrei, cousin Jamie Lillard (Leslie), uncle Steve, puppies: Pixie, Pearl, Tango, as well as other family members. 

April spread so much joy and had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed.

April was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A fighter from the start April had several surgeries before she was one year old. Lucky April had two moms who love her dearly. She was a happy soul who loved people and pets.

April really began to thrive when she started attending NM Preschool for the visually impaired. She liked school until she started attending Albuquerque Sign Language Academy then SHE LOVED SCHOOL. More than just a school she found a community of friends. April enjoyed music, friends, puppies, Mary Poppins, and pizza. She skied, biked, sang and rode every ride at Disneyland. April loved life and people. She made sure to eat an Oreo a day just for joy.

April's Life Celebration will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Reception will follow inside Salazar Mortuary's Event Center.
