Bettie J. Emerson passed away on October 21, 2013.
She is predeceased in death by her parents: Luis Raymond Pennel and Flora Mary Bennette; and her sons: Terry E. Emerson and Randy L. Emerson.
Bettie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ivan L. Emerson; her sons: Brent A. Emerson and Lance R. Emerson; her daughter: Brenda G. (David R.) Dandois; her brother: Robert "Sonny" (Glenda) Pennel; her nephew: Chris Pennel; her neice: Lisa Winfield; and 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Bettie's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation at Salazar Mortuary (400 3rd St. SW) on Saturday, October 26 at 11:30am followed by a service at 12:00pm. There will be a potluck following the service at the Emerson home at 2201 Diego Pl SW. Bettie will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 29th at 9:45am. Bettie's pallbearers will be Ian Dandois, Ben Benavides, Jeremey Sandoval, Johnny Grice, Jay Rader, and Jason Rader.
