Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Betty Lou Gallegos, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at age 96.

She is preceded in death by her husband Louis P. Gallegos, parents John and Leona Brock; and grandchildren: Roger Garcia, Lisa Garcia, and Michelle Gallegos.

Betty is survived by her sons: Alfred Gallegos (Cornelia), Edwin Gallegos (Evelyn), Michael Gallegos (Gloria); daughters: Patricia Thompson, Nora Garcia (Paul), Barbara Vonderheide (William); siblings: John, Thomas, Marsha; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Betty was born on June 14, 1928 in Wellington, Missouri. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed.

Betty's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 9:00am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 11:00am. Betty Lou will be laid to rest following the Service at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
