Carlos Angel Lee Aguirre, known affectionately as Carlitos to his loved ones, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Carlos is survived by his mother Angela Baca, father Luis Aguirre, siblings: Carmen Aguirre, Lucia Aguirre, Emma Aguirre, Louie Chavez, niece and nephews: Expria Toledo, Oliver Toledo, Oscar Fonza, grandparents: Angel Garcia, Dolores Garcia, Emma Aguirre, and aunt Betty Aguirre.
Born on February 11, 1999, Carlitos' passion for life was evident in his love for football. A dedicated Raiders fan, he spent countless hours playing the sport he adored and cheering on his favorite team. He found solace and excitement in the rhythms and melodies of diverse music, which was a constant companion throughout his journey of life. His love for music was only matched by his love for food, particularly his favorite dish, green chile enchiladas, and his cherished snack, ice cream. Carlitos also enjoyed the simple pleasures of a meal at McDonald's, a testament to his humble and down-to-earth nature.
Traveling was another of Carlitos's joys, especially visiting California, Texas, and Wisconsin. Those trips were not just about exploring new places but also about strengthening the bonds with his cousins and family who lived there. The memories created during those visits were treasures he held close to his heart.
One of Carlitos's proud achievements was obtaining his driver's license. This milestone was followed by purchasing his first car and moving into his first apartment with his sister. These accomplishments reflected his determination and independence, traits that he carried with pride.
Those who knew Carlitos will remember him as a kind soul, whose humor and loving nature brightened the darkest of days. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to find joy in the mundane was a gift to all. He approached life with a sense of wonder and a heart full of generosity.
Carlitos's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. He lived his life fully, with a spirit that was unbreakable and a heart that was always open. He will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
As we bid farewell to Carlitos, we celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on all of us. His journey on this earth was a testament to the beauty of a life lived with enthusiasm and love. Carlitos may have left us in body, but his spirit will forever dance in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and all who cherished him.
Rest in peace, dear Carlitos. Your memory will be a guiding light to us all.
