Carlos "Carlitos" Aragon

Carlos "Carlitos" D. Aragon, Jr., 87, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Josephina Aragon, brothers: Phil and Antonio.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Geneveve; sons: Dennis (Brenda), Steven (Sandra), Arnold (Rosemary), Edward, Charles (Pearl), Abran, siblings: Agneda, Josie (Lorenzo), Casey (Prudy), Jake (Modesta), Hilario (Diane), 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Carlos was born in Anton Chico, New Mexico on April 12, 1935. He married Geneveve Garcia, of Dilia, New Mexico and they were married for 66 years, creating a beautiful family. Carlos and Geneveve moved to Albuquerque in 1956. He began a job with the New Mexico State Highway Department and retired after 32 years. He enjoyed meeting his friends at McDonalds for coffee every day, spending time with his family and attending matanzas to make his specialty, chicharones. Carlos and Geneveve were parishoners at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 60 years.

He will be desperately missed by his family and every person who had the joy of meeting him.

Carlos' Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 309 Stover Ave. SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Final Viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 9:00am also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 09:30am. Carlos will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Famiglietta, Joseph Lucero, Matthew Aragon, Dennis Aragon, Ambrosio Aragon, and Antonio Aragon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dominic, Julianna, Adrian, Jeremiah, Viviana, Marissa, Amanda, Deanna, Adriana, Amber, and Abran, Jr.
