Christina Mercedes Woodbury, 31, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

She is preceded by her daughter Sasantee Marie Woodbury, grandmother Maria Elena Felix; grandfather Wilbur J. Woodbury, Sr., aunts: Veola Woodbury, Gail Griffith; uncle Gary Woodbury (Rhyna).

She leaves to cherish her memories: parents Steven A. Woodbury and Maria Lydia Avendano; Lisa Torres; siblings: Eugene Wilcox, Cynthia Steen (Joseph), April Riley-Torres; nephew Shane Tuttle; Godparents Donny and Andrea Lovato; aunts: Carolyn Newton (James), Beverly Woodbury; great-uncle Charles J. Woodbury, Sr.; uncles: Wilbur J. Woodbury, Jr., Kaseem Thomas (Latoya); cousins: Amy Newton, Diana Newton, Chris Griffith (Nicole), Ciara Griffith, Jonathan Griffith; extended cousins: Jaleeka Woodbury; Juan Woodbury (Cora), Chenia Woodbury, Ryan Woodbury (Shayla), Charles J. Woodbury, Jr., Cheryl Anderson (Glenn).. She will be missed by all of her great-aunts, great-uncles, countless cousins, relatives and friends.

Christina Mercedes was born on July 17, 1991 in Hobbs, New Mexico.She worked as a certified Caregiver for an assisted living facility for a time. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved singing to and with her father Steven. She also accompanied her mother Maria Lydia to dance classes and recitals. She recently had the opportunity to enjoy her family even more, going on outings to the mountains, birthday celebrations, dinners, shopping and a trip with Lisa to Las Vegas.

Raised Catholic most of her life, Christina Mercedes also loved to attend church with her Aunt Carolyn and cousin Diana at City Reach Church in Bosque Farms, New Mexico where she learned to love the Lord even more. Her light will always remain with us and she can now rest and wait for our timely arrival someday.

Christina Mercedes Life Celebration will begin with a Mass on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 1502 Sara Rd, 87124. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park Cemetery located at 4310 Sara Rd, 87124.
