Daniel Martin Mora, a cherished soul known for his generosity and kindness, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the age of 53.

He was preceded in death by his father Fred Mora.

Daniel was survived by his mother Connie Mora, sister Yvonne Ybarra (Edward), former wife Rita Abeyta and their children: Angelina Farrell (Sean), Daniel Mora, Jr.; grandson Daniel Mora; his partner Mary and her children: Isaiah, Davontate, Jazzy and Selina; sister, Yvonne Ybarra (Ed); nephew, Edward also many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and life-long friends.

A true patriot, Daniel took immense pride in his service with the United States Navy. His dedication to his country was paralleled only by his commitment to his family and friends. Daniel's supportive nature was the cornerstone of many relationships; he was always the first to offer help, and his presence was a source of comfort and strength.

Daniel's kindness extended to all creatures, especially dogs. He could not bear to see a stray without a home, and his heart led him to rescue many, providing them with love and shelter. This compassion was a reflection of his generous spirit—he was the man who would give the shirt off his back without a second thought.

Daniel's legacy is one of friendship and love. Friends and family will remember him as the person who was always there when needed, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or a comforting hug. His actions spoke volumes, and the words 'generous,' 'friendly,' and 'caring' encapsulate the essence of who he was.

As we say goodbye to Daniel, we celebrate a life lived on his terms. Daniel will be deeply missed, but the light he shone upon us will never fade. His spirit will continue to inspire, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of community.

Daniel will be laid to rest on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:30 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, 87501.
