Dan L. Chavez went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary D. Chavez; and his parents Frank and Lucinda Chavez.

Dan is survived by his daughters: Danetta M. Chavez, Lanetta Sandoval and Ernest Jr., Janetta Rubi and George Jr.; four brothers and four sisters; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Dan and Mary were married 55 years.

He was a retired New Mexico state building inspector and a member of the Good Sams of America; he was a carpenter and craftsman.

Dan's Life Celebration will take place on the anniversary of his union with the Lord, Friday, August 20, 2021. Rosary will be recited at 8:15am at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 1400 Arenal Blvd. SW, 87105. Mass will begin at 9:00 a.m. Following the Mass Dan will be eniched with Mary at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be George Rubi III, Jason Rubi, Ernest Sandoval III, and Daniel Sandoval.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lauren Pena and Mary Rose Gutierrez.
