Dorothe Ann LeFebre, known and loved by all as Anna, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, surrounded by love. She was 73 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Dorothe Santistevan, infant sister Patricia Santistevan, brothers Pete Santistevan, Paul Santistevan, Mike Santistevan, Mark Santistevan, and Myron Santistevan.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Deacon Paul LeFebre; children: Anna Julia Sanchez, Evelyn LeFebre, Juan LeFebre, Teresa LeFebre; siblings: Ellen and Leroy Salazar, Patrick and Judith Santistevan, Matthew and Brigette Santistevan; and her beloved grandchildren.
Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico and raised in Wagon Mound, Anna carried the deep roots and spirit of northern New Mexico with her throughout her life. She was a woman of extraordinary intelligence, warmth, and wit — fluent in Spanish, devoted to her Catholic faith, and fiercely proud of her family’s history, which she traced back hundreds of years through a lifelong passion for genealogy.
Anna was magnetic, wickedly funny, and never afraid to speak her mind. She was a devoted home cook, an avid reader, and a passionate lover of live music who treasured every concert experience deeply.
Anna LeFebre was extraordinary, fun loving, and deeply enlightened. She was loved beyond all measure and will be missed every single day — in every kitchen, every concert, every story told around a table, and every moment of laughter in a difficult time.
