Obituary

Edward Francis Moya born June 8, 1927 passed away and was reborn into his heavenly home on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Husband to Virginia Garcia-Moya who entered heaven's gates January 28, 2016 is survived by his children: Monica Moya and husband Tom Romero, Chris Moya and wife Angela Klimansky Moya, and Ramona Moya and husband Ed Clark.  Edward and Virginia were married for 63 years.

Edward was enrolled into the Franciscan Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 14 and returned home after many years of study.  He was a WW2 Veteran and served in Alaska in communication division.

After serving his country in the army, Edward became a school teacher at the Elementary and middle school level for 15 years.  Soon after he joined his brother Bill and became a member of the PGA where they both oversaw operations at Los Altos Golf Course for 60 years.  The Los Altos clubhouse was dedicated to Edward and Billy's names for their many years of servicing the Albuquerque community.  Edward also received the PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.  He was a long-standing parishioner at San Felipe de Neri Church.

Those who knew Edward well refer to his ability to display patience and humility when others would hasten and show pretense.  He would reflect wisdom and insight not rushing to judgement or blame. Edward, above all, showed love and commitment to his family, friends and the holy trinity.  His will and conviction was steadfast and unbreakable.  For all he represented he inspired all those around him.
