Eugene "Gene" Montoya, 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his father Oswaldo Montoya, mother Isabelle Montoya, and son John Montoya.

Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dora Montoya, sons: Martin Montoya, Reuben Montoya (Christina), daughter in law Nora Montoya, sisters: Agi Crawford, Trudy Botic, seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Gene's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 9:00am at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 511 Alicia St, Santa Fe, 87501. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Eugene will be laid to rest at 12:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe 87501.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Montoya, Rane Hanni, Derrick Macias, Adam O'Connell, Elias Candelaria and Adrian Chavez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dillon Macias, Devin Macias, Damian Macias and Estephan Candelaria.
