Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Child of God, Florinda T. Cortez was graced by our Lord on Friday, August 6, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her parents Florencio and Lorencita Madrid; husband Albert J. Cortez; sons: Anthony M. Cortez and Aaron J. Cortez.

Florinda is survived by her son Angelo D. Cortez, his wife Norma, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Florinda and Albert were married for 58 joyous and hard-earned years.

Florinda's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 5:30pm at Shrine of the Little Flower St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church located at 3424 Fourth St NW, 87107. Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. Florinda's Final Viewing will take place on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Shrine of the Little Flower St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Please meet at Salazar Mortuary at 1:00pm to  process to Florinda's final resting place at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102. A Reception will be held at 2:30pm at Salazar Mortuary inside the Salazar Mortuary Life Event Center located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102.

Pallbearers honored with carrying Florinda to her final resting place will be Angelo G. Cortez, Norma Cortez, Jacob Cortez, Jerrid Cortez, Mario Cortez, and Andrew Chavez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Cortez, Jesus Alvidrez, and Leon Jaramillo.
