Floyd A. Pacheco

Floyd A. Pacheco of Tucumcari, New Mexico passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 79.

He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Pacheco Saavedra; father Juan Pacheco; mother Rosalia Pacheco; brothers: Juan "Johnny" Pacheco, David "Blue" Pacheco; sisters: Fidelia Montoya, and Lorinda Salaz.

Floyd is survived by his brothers: Domingo "Mingo" Pacheco of Tucumcari, NM, Guillermo "Willie" Pacheco and sister-in-law Esther Pacheco of Roswell, NM, Raymond Pacheco and sister- in-law Carol Pacheco of Amarillo, TX and sister Ruby Marquez and brother- in -law Jose Marquez of Tucumcari, NM.

Born on June 29, 1946, Floyd lived a life that embodied dedication and quiet strength. He was a Veteran who served in the US Army and upon his return from serving his country he lived in Los Angeles, California where he created many memories and then made his final home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Floyd was passionate about sports, especially baseball, which he played from childhood to high school. He was a Los Angeles Dodgers fan and travelled often to watch spring training and would go back to LA to enjoy baseball games and visit all his favorite restaurants, often reminiscing of his LA days. Floyd enjoyed listening to oldies and Spanish music and was a drummer in a rock and roll band. Floyd was a great influence on his many nieces and nephews, often giving them nicknames and would have them spend their summers with him and Margaret.

An individual of remarkable work ethic and intelligence, Floyd retired from Wells Fargo Express where he thrived on his commitment to his profession. He took great pride in his achievements in the Army, and all the places where he worked.

Floyd will be remembered for his integrity, love of sports, and the profound impact he had on those around him. Floyd will be forever missed!

Floyd's life celebrations will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 306 W High St Tucumcari, NM 88401. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.. Floyd will be laid to rest following the mass at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery located at 4161 Cemetery Rd, Tucumcari, NM 88401.

Pallbearers will be Richard Pacheco, Alexander Pacheco, Jose Gonzalez, Ervey Gonzalez, Samantha Trujillo and Gilbert Rivera.
