Genoveva Irenes Aragon "Geneveve", 87 passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Geneveve is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Carlos Aragon, Jr., son Edward Aragon, parents Corsinio and Andreita Garcia, sisters: Nora Sena, Esther Langley, brothers: Isidro Garcia, Horacio Garcia.
Geneveve is survived by her sons: Dennis (Brenda), Steve (Sandra), Arnold (Rosemary), Charles (Pearl), Abran, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Geneveve was born in Dilia, New Mexico on May 7, 1938. Geneveve was the youngest of the family. She married Carlos Aragon, Jr. of Anton Chico, New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque in 1956 creating a beautiful family of five boys. After being a stay home mom for 20 years she decided to work and was employed by the State of New Mexico, Board of Pharmacy until she retired. Geneveve enjoyed family visits, bingo and going to the casino.
She will desperately be missed by her family and everyone who had the joy of meeting her.
Geneveve's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 309 Stover Ave SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Final Viewing will take place on Wednesday. January 21, 2026, at 9:00am also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 9:30am. Geneveve will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
Pallbearers will be Delia Aragon, Amanda Bernabe, Amber Camargo, Adrianna Aragon, Deanna Brewer, and Julianna Aragon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Aragon, Jr., Dominic Aragon, Ambrose Aragon, Bobby Famiglietta, Matthew Aragon, Joseph Lucero, Abran Aragon Jr., Antonio Aragon, Adrian Aragon, and James Castillo.
