Guadalupe Saenz de Cera, born on December 11, 1932, in Mexico, peacefully passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 92. A devoted mother and grandmother, Guadalupe possessed a profound love for her family, which was the cornerstone of her life. She dedicated herself to nurturing relationships with her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos Cera Alvidrez; sons: Jorge Alberto Cera Saenz, Arnulfo Cera Saenz, and Jose Luis Cera Saenz.
Guadalupe is survived by her children: Carlos Cera Saenz, Armando Cera Saenz, Leonel Cera Saenz, Guadalupe Esther Cera Saenz, Ernestina Hernandez, Joseph Paul Hernandez, Irma Angelica Cera Saenz, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A woman of strength and resilience, Guadalupe's life was filled with a variety of interests. She found joy in reading, gardening, and playing solitaire. Her spirited nature extended to her enjoyment of lotto tickets and visits to casinos. Additionally, she had a fondness for camping, often relishing the beauty of the outdoors with those she loved.
Faith played an essential role in Guadalupe's life; as a practicing Catholic, she drew inspiration and strength from her beliefs. Her culinary favorites, including Carnitas and chicharones, were often shared during family gatherings, where her warmth and hospitality shone brightly.
Guadalupe is remembered for her caring nature and unwavering support for her family. Her loved ones will forever cherish the memories created together, as she epitomized love, compassion, and strength in both her words and actions.
As family and friends gather to honor her memory, they will celebrate a life well-lived, marked by devotion, kindness, and a steadfast spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Guadalupe Saenz de Cera will remain in their hearts forever.
Guadalupe's life celebration will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary located on 400 Third St. SW, 87012. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Guadalupe will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Park located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107.
Pallbearers will be Angel Coronel, Jose Hernandez, Javier Cera, Luis Cera, David Cera, and Jose Avendano.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Armando Cera Saenz and Joseph Hernandez.
