Ignacita Chavez

Ignacita Chavez went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the age of 91 years young.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Nick Chavez; daughter Margie Romero; mother Elicia Paz; father Ursenio Paz; grandson Darryl Nguyen; granddaughter Loreen Nguyen; sisters: Lucy Farcia, Dora Garcia, Pricilla Vargas, Rosemary Sanchez; brothers: Larry Paz, and Florencio Paz.

Ignacita is survived by her sons: Bobby Chavez, Richard Chavez (Melissa), Nick Chavez (Rebecca); daughters: Alice Nguyen, Annette Chavez; brother Nasareno Paz; sister Mickey Maldonado; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Ignacita's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 11:00 am. Service will begin at 11:30 am. Ignacita will be laid to rest with her beloved husband on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 12:45 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, 87501.
