James "Jimmy" Leon Gonzales, 76, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
He is predeceased by his father Charles Borromeo Gonzales; mother Mary Ernestine Gonzales; brothers Charles Gonzales, Thomas "Tommy G." Gonzales, and Vincent "Nicky" Gonzales; brother-in-law Vincent Villanueva; grandfather Charles R. Gonzales; and grandmothers Benicia Gonzales and Juanita B. Urioste.
Jimmy is survived by his sister Benita Villanueva; brother Michael A. Gonzales and partner Geri Lucero; daughter Maria G. Chavez and spouse Tom P. Chavez; grandchildren Ivan, Sofia, and Isaac; nieces and nephews Christine Romero (Richard), Joseph Villanueva, Thomas Gonzales, Joey Gonzales, Nicole Montoya, and Jasmine Gonzales; great niece Grace Ann Romero, and several other great nieces and Nephews; and best friend Margaret Villanueva.
Jimmy's Life Celebration will begin with a Service on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary on 3rd St. and Lead Ave., followed by Burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery and a Reception at the Event Center at Salazar Mortuary.
