James was predeceased by his parents: Amelia and Eulogio Montano; brothers: Ernie, David, and Michael Montano; sisters: Rita Padilla and Sylvia Montano.
He is survived by his siblings: Louie Montano and wife Soledad, Vivian Enriquez, Bertha Montano, Rosanna Montano, Linda Rael, Nancy Montano, Paul Montano, Joseph Montano, Eddie Montano and wife Lucia, and Manuel Montano; niece, Sheryl Martinez and husband Gerald; many other nieces and nephews; his caregiver, Geraldine Carabajal; and his friend forever, Ana.
James loved his family and blessed them all with gifts hoping it would bring them happiness.
James' Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Monday, May 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary (400 Third St. SW). followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m and a Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Martinez, Nestor Sena, Louie Montano, Jose Montano, Eddie Montano and Manuel Montano.
