Jeannie Marez

Jennie Marez, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Mike Marez; daughters: Angel Marez, Rosie Jaramillo (Chris); son Julian Marez;. sisters: Lita Rivera (Randy), Margaret Griego (Jerry); brothers: Pablo Torrez (Maggie), Eddie Torrez, Milton Torrez, Jerry Torrez; four grandchildren: Diego, Valerie, A.J., and Alexander, also many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Jeannie was born on August 10, 1961 in Albuquerque New Mexico. She worked as a Corrections Officer at MDC for 8 years. In her free time she enjoyed hunting, fishing, arts, and crafts.

Jeannie was a very loving and caring person, who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed being with family, she would spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren. She helped everyone she could.

Jeannie touched a lot of lives and will be truly missed.

Jennie's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. A Catholic Service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Torrez, Marcus Griego, Kenneth Archuleta, and Lee Griego.
