Jennifer Lynne Bourgoyne, 36, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 28, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her loving grandfather Gene Tapia and great-grandmother Tomacita Mares.
Jennifer is survived by her mother Patricia Bourgoyne, brother Patrick Bourgoyne and his wife Michelle, grandmother Mary Tapia, aunt Barbara Tapia, nephews: Sean Bourgoyne, Michael Bourgoyne, and fiancé Alex Hill.
Jennifer was born on April 13, 1989, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was a vibrant spirit, known for her love of animals and the great outdoors. A passion for horseback riding often found her connecting with nature and enjoying the freedom that came with it. Her appreciation for music was profound, spanning a diverse range of genres. She held a special fondness for metal bands, including Slipknot, Disturbed, and Linkin Park, while also cherishing the timeless melodies of country legends like Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, and Dolly Parton.
Academically, Jennifer shone brightly. She graduated high school with honors, a testament to her intelligence and dedication. Her hard work was recognized when she received a prestigious Presidential Award for her outstanding achievements. This accomplishment reflected not only her commitment to her studies but also her determination to excel in everything she pursued.
Jennifer's personality left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Stubborn yet endearing, she had a quick wit that often-brought laughter to those around her. Her loveable nature made her a treasured friend and an admired member of the community. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard, finding joy in nurturing plants and creating a welcoming space of beauty.
A unique aspect of Jennifer's personality was her collection of elephant trinkets, each piece holding memories and stories that she cherished. This collection was a reflection of her fun-loving and quirky spirit, making her presence all the more memorable.
Though Jennifer is no longer with us, her legacy of laughter, love, and passion for life will continue to touch the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Jennifer's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 1:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 2:00pm.
