Jermaine Thomas Williams-Peoples passed away surrounded by love on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the very city that he loved and called home. He was 34 years old.
Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandparents: Thomas Williams, Frances Christine Williams, Willie Peoples, Rutelia Peoples.
He is survived by his parents Tina Williams and Jerry Peoples; sisters: Precious Peoples, Janelle Williams- Peoples; brother: Marcus Thomas; brother-in-law: Jordon Hampton; niece Zerenity Peoples- Lewis; nephews: Zeddy Peoples- Lewis, Jayden Hampton, and Javon Hampton.
Jermaine was born on September 6, 1990, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a vibrant soul whose life was marked by a deep connection to his family, friends, and the community around him. Always a source of good energy and positive vibes, he had an infectious spirit that lit up every room he entered. His interests reflected his love for life; whether he was skateboarding on the streets of Albuquerque, biking, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing laughter with friends at the dog park with his beloved dog Shadow, Jermaine embraced every moment with passion.
A devoted family member, Jermaine cherish spending time with his parents, sisters, niece and nephews known as Uncle Maine! They were his pride and joy, and he went above and beyond to spread love and happiness to those around him. He was known for his ability to touch the hearts of everyone he met, a true giver of love who understood the importance of connection and community.
Music was an integral part of Jermaine’s life. He found joy in a diverse range of genres, from R&B and rap to soul, often filling his surroundings with the sounds that moved him. His culinary favorites of BBQ, catfish, and pizza reflected his love for shared meals and gatherings, further demonstrating his sense of community.
A fan of sports, Jermaine passionately supported the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, embodying the excitement of game days. His love for sports was matched only by his appreciation for basketball, a passion that began in six grade and he played through high school and remained an intrinsic part of his life.
Jermaine was not just a lover of fun but also an adventurer at heart. He enjoyed numerous road trips growing up and created unforgettable memories. Each journey added to the tapestry of experiences that defined his remarkable personality.
With a genuine understanding of those around him, Jermaine had a special way with children and animals, often described as an "animal whisper." His ability to nurture and connect with both demonstrated the warmth and kindness that characterized his life.
As we remember Jermaine Thomas Williams-Peoples, we celebrate a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and adventure. His legacy will be carried forward by all those who had the privilege of knowing him, as we cherish the rich memories he left behind and the joy he brought to our lives.
Jermaine's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:30am at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110. Service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
