Jose "Silverback" Salazar, 60, passed away on February 25, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jose "Silverback" was preceded in death by his mother, Fidencia Sara Martinez; and brother, Wilbert Salazar.
Silverback is survived by his father Jose Lazaro Salazar; sons: Jose Mauricio Salazar (Yuticeli), Bernave Eugenio Salazar (Rayshell); daughters: Aramita Pacheco, Catalina Gallentine; brother Darrel Salazar (Alex Turner); sisters: Michelle Salazar, Olivia Martinez, Anita Martinez (Noel); 10 grandchildren: Sara, Jr., Marisol, Rosa, Mariela, Loretto, Antonio, Azaliah, Santiago, and Isreal.
Silverback was friendly, goofy, outspoken, stubborn, and hardworking. He loved his kids/ grandchildren more than anything in the world. He enjoyed wood-work and building, which he had the pride and joy to teach his sons.
Silverback will truly be missed by those who knew him and his memories will always be cherished.
Jose's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW 87102.
