Obituary

Josh Laughlin, a vibrant soul known for his loving nature and adventurous spirit, left this world too soon on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the age of 26.

Josh is survived by his mother Yvonne; brother Kris; brother-in-law Javier; sister Rachel; niece Karaline; and Goddaughter Cyraina.

Born on January 23, 1999, in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Josh's life was a testament to the joy and laughter he brought to everyone around him. The same city that witnessed his first breaths, held him close as he passed away, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and countless cherished memories. From a young age, Josh was a beacon of light in his families eyes, his infectious laughter and smart-ass wit earning him the love and affection of all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

Josh was a protective little (BIG) brother to his sister and always wanted to know that she was safe. Josh was a proud uncle to his niece and made sure he made it to all her functions. A gamer at heart, he spent many hours mastering the latest video games with is brother, his dexterity and strategic thinking making him a formidable opponent and a cherished companion in the virtual world.

Josh's love for life extended to the open road where he embraced the freedom that came with riding his motorcycle. The wind in his hair and the sun on his back, there was no better feeling than that of being one with the road. He is now ridding with Angels in Heaven. His adventurous spirit was also mirrored in his passion for Pokémon, where he embarked on countless quests to catch them all. Music pulsed through Josh's veins, and his favorite artist, Tech N9ne, provided the soundtrack to many of the memorable moments in his life. The beats and lyrics of his songs were the perfect accompaniment to Josh's own life rhythm, whether he was grilling steaks or flipping pancakes with his mom and brother on a lazy Sunday morning, his culinary delights were a treat to all. The Copper Canyon restaurant held a special place in Josh's heart, as it was there that he shared many a meal with his beloved mother. Their bond was palpable to anyone who witnessed their shared laughter over a meal.

Josh's love for travel took him to Texas, one trip that held special significance as he met his Godbaby for the first time. The joy and pride in his eyes on that day were unmatched, a clear reflection of his close-knit relationship with his family. Professionally, Josh was a force to be reckoned with. His work ethic and natural leadership skills saw him rise quickly through the ranks to become a lead stocker, a position he held with immense pride and dedication. He was not just a colleague but a mentor and friend to many, always ready with a quip to lighten the load of a long workday.

Josh was more than just awesome; he was a treasure to those who knew him. His bear hugs were legendary, enveloping loved ones in warmth and security that only Josh could provide. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and his ability to make even the sternest of faces break into a smile will be deeply missed. Describing Josh as loving, adventurous, and generous barely scratches the surface of the man he was. His life, though tragically short, was lived with an intensity and passion that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Josh Laughlin, a man of great humor and even greater heart, has left a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire laughter, love, and life in all its fullness.
