Juan A. Brown, Jr.

Our brother Juan A. Brown, Jr. also known as John, Johnny, y Johnny de nostros, went to be with the Lord and Saviour around 10:00am on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

The Lord received Himself to the soul of our dear husband, brother, uncle, and friend. John has seen the Lord for who he longed for. He left this fallen world and entered the eternal presence of God, where there is no more sin or death! John has obtained the victory Christ Jesus purchased for him. To God be the glory!

Juan is survived by his babe of 25 years Deborah Lou (Duran) Brown; siblings: Joe Brown (Reyna), Beatrice Romero (Ray), Jenny Manzanares (Fermin), Rita Cata (Peter), as well as many nieces, nephews, and all who adored him.

Born on April 28, 1948, in Dixon, New Mexico, Juan lived a life marked by faith, kindness, humor, and a deep love for others. Juan was a devout Christian whose life reflected his devotion to the Lord in every season. He found great meaning in studying the Bible and in living out the truths he believed. His most important success was giving his life to the Lord, and he carried that decision with sincerity and conviction throughout his years. He believed his purpose was to lead others to Christ, and he pursued that calling with a gentle spirit and a steady heart. Those who knew him were often encouraged by his words, his example, and the quiet strength of his faith. 

He was known as a funny, faith-filled, and loving man who brought warmth and joy to the lives of those around him. His sense of humor could brighten a room, and his loving nature made people feel welcome and valued. John was deeply respected by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a way of making others feel at ease, and his presence left a lasting impression on the hearts of many. Children were drawn to him because he made them laugh. He used to say he had the, “grandpa” look. 

John enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, and he appreciated the moments that allowed him to slow down and take in the world around him. He loved going for car rides, finding comfort and peace in the journey as much as the destination. He also loved to read, and he was thoughtful enough to pass a book along to another person when he had finished it, sharing not only the story but also the joy it brought him. This small but meaningful habit reflected the generous and considerate nature that defined him. 

Breakfast foods were among his favorite comforts, and he especially enjoyed pecan waffles from Waffle House. That simple favorite became one of the many things that brought him happiness and reflected his appreciation for life’s everyday blessings. He found contentment in familiar routines, good food, and the company of people he cared about. His interests were not grand in the worldly sense, but they were rich in meaning because they were tied to the way he lived with gratitude and sincerity. 

John’s life was one of testimony, service, and love. He did not seek attention for himself but instead desired to point others toward the hope and salvation he found in Christ. His faith was not merely something he spoke about, but something he lived. He was a man whose actions often spoke as loudly as his words, and his example served as a reminder of the power of a life grounded in belief and compassion. 

He leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, laughter, and love. Juan A. Brown, Jr. will be remembered for his devotion to God, his loving spirit, his humor, and the respect he earned from those around him. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him. Though his earthly journey has ended, the impact of his life remains, carried forward in the hearts of all who loved him and in the lasting witness of a life well lived.

John will be laid to rest at a late date in Dixon, New Mexico. A reception will follow the graveside. Details are to be announced.
