Julie Barreras Barela

Julie Barreras Barela, 55, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Julie is survived by her husband of 10 years Michael Barela, sons: Ray John Barreras, Joshua Owens (Tenaya); daughters: Juliana Anaya (Zackery), Rhiannon Barela; parents: Ruben and Eloisa Mary Barreras; brother Ruben Barreras, Jr. (Linda); sister Belinda Barerras (Martin Garcia), special cousin Alice Johnson, and 12 grandchildren.

Julie was a good hearted and loving woman. She loved  to read Harry Potter books, cook, and bake. She had a unique laugh that was infectious.

Julie's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at the Shrine of the Little Flower St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church located at 3424 Fourth St. NW, 87107. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. also at the Shrine of the Little Flower St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church. Julie will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Juliana Anaya, Zackery Anaya, Joshua Owens, Ray John Barreras, Ruben Barreras, Jr., and Martin Garcia.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Lucero, Jr., Martin Garcia Jr., and David Marquez.
