It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn “Kathie” Pick, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 73 years old.
Kathie is preceded in death by her daughter Audrey Graham, brother Mark Ketterman, father Bill Ketterman, mother Betty Lou Hoffman, stepfather Herb Hoffman, uncles: Jim Ketterman, Tom Ketterman, grandparents Mack and Lucille McCullough, and Arnold and Lillian Ketterman.
She is survived by the love of her life Mike Pick, sister Lorri Ketterman, daughters: Amanda Allen, Tessa Allen-Quintana and husband Mark, Ashten Mizell and husband Matt, son-in-law Steve Graham, grandchildren: who affectionately called her “Nema”: Lawrence Sena and wife Melissa, Marcus Quintana, Kaylee Graham, Evan Graham, Abigail Graham, Brynn Graham, Makaela Mizell, Noah Mizell, Bennett Mizell, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was born June 16,1953, in Neodesha, Kansas to William “Bill” and Betty Lou Ketterman. During her elementary school years the family relocated to Santa Fe, NM. She graduated from Santa Fe High in 1971. She was a cheerleader for the Santa Fe High Demons. After high school she attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. During her college years, she spent a short time studying abroad in Mexico.
After college, she married her first husband, Jay Allen, and together they had 2 daughters, Amanda and Tessa. Years later, Kathie married Mike Pick, and together they had 2 more daughters, Audrey and Ashten. Kathie spent most of her life living in Santa Fe and then Albuquerque where she helped run the family business, Hallmark Computer Supplies.
Kathie loved gardening, was a huge fan of football and tennis, and she loved fishing in the mountains. She was very creative and loved to sew, create art pieces, work on puzzles, and write poetry. She had a very strong faith in the Lord and would fondly watch her son-in-law, Matt, preach at Hills Church in Farmington, New Mexico.
Kathie was full of life and love. She was funny, charismatic and incredibly strong as she overcame so much adversity in her life. She loved people deeply and was very affectionate. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inhora Hospice (inhora.org), a non-profit organization located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Kathie spent her final moments in comfort and peace.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
