Mommy is survived by her daughter Yolanda Rodriguez; sons: Ramiro Rodriguez, Rene Rodriguez, daughters she raised as her own: Diana Carrillo, Delia Jackson; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Born on June 12, 1927, in Big Spring, Texas, Lenora's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A woman of many passions, Lenora's love for gardening was evident in the colorful blooms that surrounded her home each spring. Her skillful hands crafted warmth and beauty through crocheting, creating countless cherished keepsakes for her family and friends. Lenora's talents shone brightly at the state fair, where she was a frequent recipient of the coveted blue ribbon for "Best of Show" and proudly took first place for her homemade tortillas, a testament to her culinary prowess.
Lenora's zest for life extended to her love of all children, volunteering as a Foster Grandparent at Duranes Elementary for almost 20 years, where she was affectionately known as “Grandma” to many pre-school aged children, serving as both mentor and emotional support. She always encouraged the children to have good manners, and to be kind to others. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, she never missed a game and her enthusiasm for her team was contagious. Road trips were a favorite adventure, with Disneyland holding a special place in all their hearts—a magical destination that mirrored the joy and wonder she brought into the world.
Above all, Lenora's family was her crowning achievement and her greatest joy. She believed her purpose in life was to give selflessly and to love without bounds. Her unique blend of love, humor, and storytelling made every moment with her memorable, and her knack for playing cards made her the undefeated champion of family game nights.
Loving, funny, and generous—these words only begin to describe the extraordinary woman that was Lenora Rodriguez. Her legacy of laughter, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Lenora's memory will be cherished and celebrated, as she lives on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched.
