Lorella Garcia, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Andres and Amanda Mares; brother Leo Mares; sisters: Gloria Baca, Maria, Mares; and husband John Tony Garcia.
Lorella is survived by her children: Jolene Herrera (Martin), Christina Orozco (Domonic), Robert Garcia, Anthony Garcia (Susan); sister Virginia Sanchez, 10 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
She was a beloved realtor, antique enthusiast, and devoted family member who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born in Pena Blanca, Lorella lived a vibrant and fulfilling life. She pursued her passion for real estate, earning her realtor's license and helping countless families find their dream homes.
Her keen eye for design and love of American furniture led her to a successful career in antiques, where she bought and sold unique treasures, often traveling to Santa Fe to find the perfect pieces. Lorella also enjoyed sharing samples at Costco. Sandia Casino held a special place in her heart. Lorella was a woman of refined taste, known for her elegant style and meticulous attention to detail. She had a knack for matching everything perfectly, from her shoes to her jacket, and she took great pride in her appearance.
Her love of beauty extended to her garden, where she cultivated a vibrant array of flowers and plants, attracting her beloved hummingbirds. Cooking New Mexican dishes, especially chili and enchiladas, was a favorite pastime.
Despite facing health challenges in recent years, including a benign brain tumor and lung cancer, Lorella remained mentally sharp and maintained her zest for life. She was lovingly cared for by hospice and numerous family members. She approached her final days with courage and grace at the home of Anthony and Susan Garcia.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family.

Pallbearers will be Martin Herrera, Jr., Jude Orozco, Gabriel Herrera, and Jonathan Garcia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Garcia, Adrian Palma Garcia, and Jason Chavez.
