Fabiola Margarita Bachicha Ortega (Margie B. Ortega) was a devout child of the Lord God. She was born and raised in Encino, New Mexico. Margie was married to Max Ortega for 64 years. They made every effort to have their five children attend Catholic schools because of their religious belief in having a strong foundation in the Lord our God. When she lived in Albuquerque, she was a member of various Catholic Churches serving in the Altar and Rosary Society, as a Eucharistic Minister, a lector, and a Catechism teacher. She was also a participant of the Apostolic Cursillo Movement.
Margie graduated from the Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) in the late 1960's with an Associate's Degree in Bookkeeping. She was a Civil Service employee in Albuquerque for 30 years as an accountant with the western sector of the Military Entrance Processing Station known as MEPS.
Margie will be remembered for her contagious laughter, her love for the good Lord, and her strong ethical convictions in life. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Our hearts are filled with love and joy because she is in the presence of God almighty. Her legacy will forever be with us because of the love she demonstrated to each and everyone one of us.
