Mariano Padilla, age 75, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his brother Roy Padilla, and sister Inez Aguilar.
He is survived by his son Mariano Padilla, Jr., daughter Melissa Padilla, he was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Carmelito, sisters: Gloria, Theresa, Annette, Jane, and the mother of his children Angie Padilla.
He was born on June 19, 1950, to Lina Padilla, who survives him, and Carmel Padilla, who preceded him in death.
Mariano was a very genuine, special, one-of-a-kind man who loved his children very much. He enjoyed ranch work and loved riding on the tractor, something that brought him great pride and peace.
Mariano will be remembered by his love of family, his kind heart, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mariano's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 7:00pm at Catholic Church of Ascension located at 2150 Raymac Road SW, 87105. Rosary is to be recited at 7:30pm. Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00am. Mariano will then be laid to rest at Los Padillas Cemetery located on Los Padillas Road just West of Coors Blvd SW, 87121.
