Marie "Nana" Martinez, 71, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Antonita Gonzales; siblings: Joe Gonzales, Patrick Gonzales, Jr., and Judy Gonzales.

Marie is survived by her children: Benjamin Martinez (Liz), Antonita Martinez; siblings: James Gonzales, John Gonzales (Denise), Philip Gonzales, Gladys Gonzales; 3 grandchildren: Joseph Altamirano, Eva Martinez, and Erica Martinez.

Marie was an artist, gardener, and loved to bird watch. She was an animal lover and loved her horses and horseback riding. Marie was a beautician for over 30 years and had many loyal clients.

Marie was truly a mother to all and will greatly be missed.

Marie's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Service will begin at 11:30 am. Reception will follow service in the Salazar Mortuary Life Event Center.
