Mark A. Estrada passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
He is survived by his two children: Celeste Estrada, Cliff Estrada, grandson Sammy; two sisters: Yvonne Estrada, Yvette Estrada; niece and nephews: Renee Estrada, Pablo Estrada, Robert Estrada IV, great-niece Sophia Estrada; and great-nephews: Santiago Estrada, and Robert Estrada V.
Mark was a journeyman carpenter. A member of Southwest Carpenters Union in New Mexico and Southern Nevada Carpenters Union. After graduating from Rio Grande High School, he attended UNM for one year. He then enrolled in a four year program, at what then was known as TVI, for Carpentry. He worked on projects all over New Mexico. The Sand and Gravel Company right outside Bernalillo was one of his first jobs. The Albuquerque International Sunport, the Marriott Pyramid and projects in Gallup, Grants and northern New Mexico. Mark ended his career in Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked on the New York- New York Hotel from the ground up. It was one of his dreams to work on a high rise. The Hotel has 12 towers 26 to 45 stories. We believe this build qualified. It made him very happy.
Mark was an avid sports fan, his three favorite teams were the NY Giants, the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics. Mark retired at age 60, and really enjoyed working on vehicles, needing repair. Mark will be missed!
Per Mark's request there will be no services. He will by laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, where family members, who loved him, now rest.
