Mary was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 15, 1933.

Mary married Prospero Chavez and built a life with 4 children - Glen, Keith, Yvette, Denise, also her step daughter Debbie, son in law Paul and daughter in law Julie. Mary has 28 grand children and great-grand children.

Mary has a brother Albert Romero and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mary had a brother Steve and a sister Madeline who passed before her.

Mary had a full life, she was physically active and went to the swimming pool to exercise and meet friends. She was more physically fit than a lot of younger people. We attribute her longevity to the daily swimming and her social life. At the community center she would have meals with friends and play shuffle board and other games.

She loved all of us very much, her love was honest and true, no pretenses, only herself loving all of us. Mary impacted many people, and developed a wide spectrum of friends.

Mary will be missed.

Mary's Life Celebration will begin with a Service on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE Albuquerque, NM 87110. Burial will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
