Mary "Marcy" Medeiros

Mary “Marcy” Medeiros, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and grace that will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Medeiros; parents Louis and Stella Gonzales; in-laws Antonio and Minervina Medeiros; son Peter O. Medeiros; grandson Antonio; siblings: Peter, Toby, Pat, Tony, and Dora.

Marcy is survived by her sons Daniel Medeiros, Michael Medeiros; granddaughter Alicia Rae; grandsons: Dominick, Joshua, Pedro Louis; sisters: Mary Louise, Gloria; many nieces and nephews.

Marcy lived a life centered on family, faithfulness, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful. She carried herself with warmth and dignity, and she was widely admired for the kindness she showed to others. Those closest to her knew her as a loving, caring, giving, and supportive woman whose presence brought comfort and strength. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, and she gave of herself freely to the people and causes she held dear. 

Her greatest accomplishment and deepest pride were her marriage and her children. Marcy believed that her purpose in life was to be a good wife and mother, and she fulfilled that calling with steadfast devotion. She embraced her role with sincerity and love, and she built a home filled with care, encouragement, and lasting memories. Her family was the center of her world, and she found great joy in nurturing those relationships and watching her loved ones grow. 

Marcy had many interests that reflected her vibrant personality and her appreciation for the things that brought happiness to everyday life. She enjoyed crochet and took pleasure in creating with her hands. She loved western shows and movies, and she found comfort and entertainment in the stories and characters that reminded her of a simpler time. Music was also an important part of her life, and she especially enjoyed listening to oldies and Spanish music. These songs often filled her home and added to the warmth and character that she so naturally created around her. 

She also had a refined sense of style and was known as a true fashionista. Marcy loved collecting purses, clothes, and jewelry, and she took pride in presenting herself with elegance and flair. Her personal style was an expression of her confidence and individuality, and she enjoyed surrounding herself with beautiful things. Among her treasured collections were Native American artifacts, which reflected her appreciation for history, culture, and meaningful craftsmanship. 

Marcy also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including a good ribeye steak and cheering for the 49ers. These favorites were part of the personality that made her so memorable. She appreciated good food, good music, and the comforts of familiar traditions. She found happiness in the things she loved and shared that happiness with those around her. 

Those who knew Marcy will remember her for the love she gave so freely and the steady support she offered throughout her life. She had a way of making others feel valued and cared for, and her compassion touched many lives. Her legacy lives on in the example she set through her devotion to family, her strength of character, and her enduring kindness. 

Marcy’s life was a testament to the beauty of commitment, love, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her presence. Though her earthly journey has ended, the memory of her love, her laughter, and her unwavering spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Marcy’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 3:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 4:00pm. Marcy will be laid to rest with her husband at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in California at a later date.
