Maxine Louise Lipira

Maxine Louise Lipira, passed on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Anthony “Tony” Lipira, parents Max and Lucy D. Leyba, sister Evangeline J. Leyba, nephew Alexander “Alex” L. Leyba, as well as aunts, uncles, and other family members.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Rachel, son-in-law Matthew, their two children, nephew Max, uncles Rudy Duran, Carl Duran , as well as other extended family members.

Born on June 27, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Maxine graduated from Valley High School in 1971. She attended college and went to Interior Design School. Her creativity was immeasurable- She had a knack for sewing, crocheting, painting, and crafting. Maxine loved spending time in her sewing room creating home decorations. Her creativity and the talent she had was beautiful. Maxine enjoyed cooking and putting her green thumb on display in her garden and throughout her home. Maxine loved her animal friends, especially her cats. She loved playing tennis, billiards and watching the Olympics. When tennis was on television, you’d think she was in a match. Maxine liked watching reruns of Andy Grifith on Nick at Night and classic movies. She met Tony in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they started dating and later married. Together they started Debits and Credits Accounting, here in Albuquerque. They adored working together and sharing the passion of owning a business and connecting with customers.

May Maxine reunite with loved ones and enjoy her garden in the sky.
